Rochester MN Guide to Summer Swimming

0

Welcome, summer!  Swimming is such a great way to cool off on a warm summer day. There are many swimming options in and around Rochester and we hope this guide will help you compare the locations quickly. The pools on this list range from basic to waterpark-style, so click the website links to get more detailed information on each pool’s offerings. For all Rochester area beaches, see our guide here! There are also a few indoor pool options.

There are some pools that offer Free Swim Days, so if you have small children who only want to swim for an hour at a time, those are a low-cost way to try out some of these pools. Open swim times were current as of the writing of this article, but be sure to check the pool’s website or call ahead to make sure they have not altered their hours.

Kahla hails from Wisconsin, but heard the siren (loon?) song of Minnesota calling as she selected a college. Then, after eight years living in the Boston area for graduate school, her family moved to Rochester in the summer of 2010. Kahla and her husband have two children: one daughter and one son. They enjoy spending time outside, especially on Rochester’s hiking and bike trails. She loves finding inexpensive ways to pass time, and also enjoys her favorite form of recycling: shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. An avid reader her entire life, working as a school librarian is the perfect fit for her outgoing, book-loving personality. She also enjoys running, baking and knitting. She loves spending time with her family, book club, and running group.
