Who :: all Rochester Area moms (you do not have to be expecting to attend!)

What :: We are thrilled to present our 5th annual Bloom: An Event or New and Expecting Moms!

Why :: Whether you’re expecting for the first or third time, are fostering, adopting, have a newborn at home or are working your way through the toddler years and thinking of expanding your family in the future, this event is for you. Come enjoy a morning of delicious food, educational resources, giveaways and swag, fun experiences and connecting moms and families with relevant local resources!

When :: Saturday, September 26th, 9 AM. This is simply the time of the live event.  If you are unavailable, you may watch the content whenever it works for you!  We will not draw for giveaways until Saturday, October 3rd.

Where :: from your computer, tablet, or phone (and from the comfort of your couch)! This year’s Bloom will be a virtual event.  Once you have you purchase your ticket, we will invite you to join our Bloom Private Facebook Group where the virtual event will happen live on Saturday, September 26th!

General Admission Ticket: $5
Includes access to virtual event and 20+ high end giveaways

General Admission Swag: $15  (Limited number available)
Includes General Admission to the virtual event, access to 20+ high end giveaways, porch pickup of exclusive swag for moms & babies, includes printed MN MAMA reusable grocery tote. Porch pick up location in NE Rochester. General Admission Swag ticket includes 5 giveaway entries.

VIP Admission Ticket: $25  (Very limited number available)
Includes General Admission to the virtual event, access to 20+ high end giveaways, porch drop off of exclusive swag – including MN MAMA canvas tote bag – and additional VIP swag items. Delivery is limited to the Rochester area (defined as 20 miles maximum from downtown Rochester); no swag or potential giveaway winnings will be shipped. VIP Admission Ticket includes 10 giveaway entries.

NOTES :: Ticket sales END September 24th at 10 PM.  Refunds requested for the original in-person event in April will be honored through August 31st, 2020.

Olmsted Medical Center’s thriving midwifery service now has 5 Certified Nurse Midwives who attend births at the Women’s Health Pavilion. Midwives view pregnancy and birth as normal life events that can be a healthy time in your life. They are experts in knowing the difference between normal changes that occur and symptoms that require extra attention. Midwives specialize in providing support and education in addition to regular health care and offer health care that respects the goals and choices of each individual woman and family.

Melissa Richards M.D. is the department chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Olmsted Medical Center.  Dr. Richards enjoys a full-spectrum practice providing healthcare to patients throughout their life. As an obstetrician, Dr. Richards believes every patient should be well-informed and confident in the care received by her healthcare team.  Dr. Richards is proud of the ongoing response of the OMC staff to provide safe and personalized care during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also in amazed by the resilience of the patients and families navigating through a life-changing event during life-changing times.

Perinatal Education Services at Olmsted Medical Center

After teaching art in the schools for 15 years, Amy became a DONA certified Doula in 2001, and an ICEA certified Childbirth Educator in 2005. Amy has taught various prenatal classes at OMC since 2002 and accepted the position of Prenatal & Family Education Coordinator in June of 2007. Since then, she has implemented the Perinatal Fitness class into the prenatal class program and recently received her CLC Lactation Counselor certification.

She is married and has an adorably, sassy 1 year old daughter. Danielle calls herself a budgeting nerd because she has to make sure she has money to participate in her favorite hobby, shopping.

Allison Loftus MA, LPCC, PHM-C (letters means she read a lot of books, wrote tons of papers, took quite a few tests, and has a butt load of experience under her belt) is the founder and owner of Flourish Counseling Center.  Flourish is committed to the fundamental life value that every person is lovable, worthy, and significant.  She is married to Derrick who not only a gem of a human being but has a big heart for women’s mental health.  They have three kiddos together and share a passion for med-rare hamburgers.  Allison’s enthusiasm for donuts can only be rivaled by Derrick’s love of cheese.  They are a great team and are looking forward to encouraging you on your motherhood journey.
