Fast forward to the year 2020, and COVID-19. The pandemic has changed a lot of things in our labor and delivery unit.
In my previous post, I shared my story with postpartum depression, and now am sharing my journey from my husband Jason's perspective.
I kept my story to myself for a long time. I was embarrassed and ashamed that I had postpartum depression. But PPD is serious, and it was not my fault.
My advice is, if you are vomiting and have not kept anything down for 24 hours GO IN. It's not a time to try and avoid the ER or clinic.

With each imperfect picture I am reminded of the lengths a mother will go through for her baby. So whether you think your "fresh out of the womb" pictures are pretty or not, they are special because they tell YOUR story.
I managed to breastfeed both of my first two boys until they were 12 months old or until they started biting me - whichever came first.
