{We’ve partnered with Hy-Vee to provide you with a review of their Aisles Online™ grocery pick-up and delivery service. Rochester MN Moms Blog partners with brands and organization we know our readers will enjoy, so we are thrilled to let you know about this great service.}

Hy-Vee Aisles Online Saves the Day! | Rochester MN Moms BlogMy boys are creatures of habit.  I’m not even joking when I say they could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every meal of every day.  Often I’ll make a nice meal for dinner, and they will request PB&J.  It makes me feel super accomplished as a chef. Honestly, I don’t really mind because HELLO! PB&J is easy.  I’ve seriously mastered the art of lazy parenting: I usually buy 4 or 5 jars of goober at a time.  Goober is a delicious concoction of peanut butter and jelly already mixed.  So that’s only one dirty knife and one jar to open, if you’re counting.

The other day I used the very last bit of my very last jar for breakfast and was dreading going to the grocery store.  Knowing we didn’t have plans or another option for lunch I realized I better figure out how to get some more Goober-STAT.  I remembered that I had a few items in my Hy-Vee Aisles Online™ cart and quickly hopped on my iPad, added 4 jars of Goober and ingredients for dinner to my cart and completed my order.

I requested a pick up time of noon, figuring I could pick up the groceries, come home, make lunch and get everyone down for naps by 1.  Literally about two hours later, I received an email saying my groceries were ready for pick up.

We finished our morning tasks and headed out, I went to the Hy-Vee drive up area at the Barlows location and called the number on the sign.  They came out with my groceries all ready and loaded them into the back of my van.  It was so handy, I didn’t have to park or unbuckle my kids and deal with the parking lot hustle.  Minnesota winters and coats and car seats don’t mix well.  I didn’t have to my get kids out and run them into the store, and I was still able to get my groceries in time for lunch.  Anything that makes my life easier is well worth it!  Plus, if you spend $100, pick up OR delivery is free.  And honestly, the $2.95 fee if you spend less than $100 is undoubtedly less than I’d spend if I’m in the store trying to keep my kids entertained and throwing random things into the cart.  Plus this way I can take my time, pull up the sales and consult my favorite recipes from the comfort of my couch.

All four stores in Rochester offer the pick up service: you just need to create an account on the Hy-Vee Aisles Online™ website and start shopping,  You can choose the brand, size and quantity and easily scan through all their choices.  You are able take advantage of Fuel Saver discounts and add digital coupons too! I’ve always been so satisfied with the produce I’ve received–those Hy-Vee shoppers totally know what they’re doing! Additionally, Hy-Vee Barlows and the new West Circle Drive store offer delivery.

As a new mom of three, this service has really become invaluable to me.  It helps me to prepare better for the week ahead with meals and healthy snacks for my family.  My husband appreciates a well stocked fridge, and I appreciate that I don’t have to lose my sanity to feed my family.
