Parents and kids see community professionals doing important jobs every day in our city. As parents, we try to answer our children’s questions about what they’re doing and where they’re going as best we can, but wouldn’t it be a lot more fun and informative to ask them directly? YES!
SPARK is hosting a special week for kids to get curious and have real conversations with professionals they might see in their neighborhoods. This week, they’ll have visits from the United States Postal Service, Olmsted County Sheriff, Rochester Police Department, First Student (school bus company), Rochester City Lines, and Rochester Public Utilities.
Kids will learn about the different jobs that these important professionals provide in the community, with plenty of time to ask questions and have conversations with them.
Schedule (subject to change):

Tuesday, October 4: 9 AM – 10 AM– Olmsted County Sheriff
Tuesday, October 4: 10:30 AM – 11 AM– First Student (school bus)

Wednesday, October 5: 10 AM – 11 AM– Rochester City Lines
Wednesday, October 5: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM– United States Postal Service

Thursday, October 6: 10 AM – 11:30 AM– Rochester Police Department
Thursday, October 6: 1:30 PM – 2 PM– United States Postal Service
Friday, October 7: 10 AM – 11 AM– Rochester Public Utilities
