Last updated August 2023

I’ve always admired others who have seasonal bucket lists and follow through with each activity. Since fall is so short and sweet in Minnesota, I thought a bucket list was the perfect way to take full advantage of this season. Hopefully, this will give you some ideas of things to do with your family before it gets cold!

1. Visit a pumpkin patch. We have curated the perfect list of orchards and pumpkin patches in the area!

2. Go to a High School football game. My choice is Century since I’m an alumni!

3. Visit an area winery.

4. Roast s’mores in the fire pit. I’ve caught on to the Reeses trend!

5. Drink a PSL. Do I need to say Pumpkin Spice Latte?

6. Jump in leaves. And we have a lot of them.

7. Bake pumpkin bread. Try this one out.

8. Carve a pumpkin.

9. Visit an apple orchard. Sekapp Orchard is a favorite since it’s so close to town.

10. Make a fall wreath. Love the simple lines of this one.

11. Make chili and watch football. I’ve heard great things about this Turkey Quinoa Chili recipe.

12. Buy a fall scented candle. Where don’t they sell them?!

13. Have a picnic in the park.

14. Go on a nature hike. Planning on hiking through the Quarry Hill trails to see the colorful leaves.

15. Unplug for a day. Good for the soul.

16. Visit the farmer’s market. Open until October 31st!

17. Ride a trolley. The Rochester Trolley & Tour Company has a fun Rochester tour!

18. Visit a new park.  Have you been to Cascade Lake yet?

19. Go on a leaf hunt.

20. Go on a tractor ride.  (Make sure they are doing tractor rides before you go!)

21. Plant (or buy) mums. Sekapp Orchard and Teigen’s Pumpkin Patch just to name a couple!

22. Plan a special fall day for your kids. Decorate caramel apples, paint pumpkins, & create leaf art!

23. Make apple sauce. This recipe looks delicious and simple.

24. Find the perfect fall boot. Loving these.

25. Bake apple crisp. I always use this recipe and get rave reviews.

I designed a Fall Bucket List to stick on your fridge as a fun reminder! Have a wonderful fall, everyone!
