Create Snow Art
Fill spray bottles with water and food coloring and let the kids out into the epic snow piles we are sure to get on our snow day tomorrow! They can create pictures, rainbows or add color to snowmen!
Send the kids out to build their most epic snowman and have categories for different awards…tallest, roundest, most creative, best dressed, etc! Be creative and have fun!
If you are feeling up to going out and about (please heed any travel warnings and be safe!) there are two designated sledding hills in Rochester:
Judd Hill (3rd Street and 36th Avenue NW)
Schmidt Park ( 6300 block of 24th Avenue NW)

Feed the Birds
Gather whatever bird friendly food you have in the house (sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, oatmeal, cereal, crumbs, stale bread) and mix and mash it all together. Spread peanut butter on a pine cone and roll the pinecone in the mixture.

Pull out all the stops. Gather up all the blankets, pillows and clothes pins in the house and let the kids go to town building their dream fort. Get flashlights, books, games, etc for activities…consider making lunch to eat in the fort!
