Each Wednesday we will be featuring a member of our writing team. We hope to further grow our community by sharing a bit more about the women that make up Rochester MN Moms Blog!
This week…meet Casie!
When Casie is not working as a school counselor and spending time with her family, she likes all things creative: writing, art, photography, house projects, etc.

Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy
2) How do you take your coffee?
A little cream, a little sugar.
3) If you close your eyes and think about it – where is your favorite place to be?
Somewhere warm and airy; somewhere with a different culture, landscape and a different definition of happy.

Travel.

A cup of coffee and a magazine or the Farmer’s Market.
6) What is the one thing you are working on changing/being better at?
Having more patience for my growing children and more one-on-one time with my husband. In addition to the strength to say “no” to things that pull me in too many directions.
7) What book had a profound impact on you and how old were you when you read it?
“White Like Me” by Tim Wise, which I read when I was about 27. Prior to that I would say “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison and “Moral Politics” by George Lakoff
8) What is your favorite thing about your life?
That I get to help raise two amazing daughters that I know will push the limits on the parameters around what it means to be a woman and one son who is changing the world and bringing out the best advocacy that I’ve got.
