Recently, I traveled to Dallas for a conference for City Moms Blog Network. Rochester MN Moms Blog is a part of this network so it really was a wonderful time of education and networking. But let’s be real. It was pretty thinly veiled as a really fun girls weekend.
I loved the opportunity to get away for a few days with some lovely old and new friends. Part of the fun for me whenever I have planned a trip has been the packing. I love the anticipation of an event and planning the perfect things to wear each day has always added to the excitement. In a previous career, I did a good amount of traveling and have really refined packing to include the most versatile pieces and still pack the lightest. This means I have options, but not an overpacked suitcase.
It’s always fun to travel with a new piece or two in your wardrobe. For this trip, I knew I had to go to POSH Boutique. POSH opened in late summer on 2nd Street right and is next door neighbors with Rocco Altobelli and Cherry Berry. For my trip to Dallas, I needed a comfy chic look to travel and then also keep me warm in what can be chilly hotel meeting rooms. I met with Suzanne, manager of POSH. She was able to hear my needs and immediately pull at least 10 pieces that would be perfectly suited for my weekend trip.
In the end, I settled on a beautiful chunky knit, dolman sleeve, open cardigan; a beautiful wine-colored (so on-trend for fall) clutch that could convert simply and easily to a mini cross-body by attaching the gold chain that comes with; and a pair of delicately colored nude drop earrings.
Each of these pieces was perfectly versatile and allowed me to pack quite lightly as each item had multiple uses throughout the trip.
