About six months ago, smack dab in the middle of my second pregnancy, I decided (more like had a small melt down) that my current diaper bag was not big enough or even semi-functional for life as a stay at home mom with 2 in diapers. This prompted weeks of research, hours of watching other moms pack and unpack their diaper bags on YouTube, and too many late nights nights scrolling Pinterest for my favorite pattern. I quickly learned you can find a Facebook swap page for literally anything, and I was off to find my perfect diaper bag.
The Perfect Diaper Bag
I, of course, settled on the biggest bag I could find. I couldn’t fathom leaving the house with out a small wardrobe change for both kidlets, a stack of cloth diapers for each along with a handful of back up disposables, and you cannot forget the baby carrier (or 3, as you all have learned of my love for those…) The Jujube bag I selected was reassuringly called “Be Prepared”. I was to be living a new lifestyle as a SAHM off on many adventures with my two tots, I was to BE PREPARED.
Now, fast forward, #2 has made his arrival and that bag is packed to the brim. I am confident the four of us could live out of the bag over a long weekend if we got stranded somewhere. It always makes it into the trunk of my car but…I am guilty of packing a second bag.
The Real Life Diaper Bag
The drawstring shoe bag that has a faint lingering smell of sweaty workout clothes.
This bag gets 1 diaper for each boy, a baggie of wipes, and a few “shut the hell up” fruit snacks.

I will admit, I have been tempted to make my own YouTube channel just so I can join in the fun of showing off how much crap I can stuff into my duffel-sized diaper bag. That would require me to remove it from my trunk, and that thing is heavy. They should have designed it with wheels, for ease of mobility!
