20 Reasons Your Uterus Might Close Up Shop

I’ve heard people talk about it before – the moment they knew they were done having babies. It always seemed foreign to me because having babies is something I had looked forward to for so long. I remember wondering if I would ever feel this way myself. Well… after recently adding a third (and probably final) baby to our nest, I think my time has finally arrived. Over the past few weeks, my husband and I have been talking about some of the reasons we expect our family planning days have come to an end. In the midst of our discussions, we have had some good laughs and reminisced about the good, bad and plain hilarious reasons why your uterus might close up shop. Enjoy!

  1. You are so ready to KonMari the 12 different sizes of clothes (and maternity clothes) in your closet.
  2. You get excited about the little things… like touching your toes.
  3. If you have any more kids, you’d need a bus.
  4. Your husband is tired of sharing the bed with your pregnancy pillow.
  5. A full night of sleep is what you daydream about.
  6. Your pre-pregnancy body seems dreamy!
  7. You look forward to the day when your living room decor is made up of more than just baby swings, boppys, and toddler toys.
  8. You would like to have a normal bowel movement again.
  9. You have run out of bedrooms in your house for more kids.
  10. The hand-me-down clothes have no more life left.
  11. Daycare costs more than your mortgage.
  12. No more diapers!
  13. You have no idea what you would even name any more kids.
  14. Everything leaks… everything.
  15. You want to want to have sex.
  16. You feel comfortable with your boy to girl ratio.
  17. You would like to take back ownership of your boobs.
  18. Your husband can’t endure the stress of another delivery.
  19. The thought of having to be pregnant again makes you want to ugly cry.
  20. You love your family just as it is and wouldn’t change it for the world.
