¡Celebra el Mes de la Herencia Hispana en la Fiesta Latina! | Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Latino Fest!

El Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana se celebra del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre en los Estados Unidos. Este mes especial reconoce las contribuciones y la influencia de los hispanoamericanos a la historia, la cultura y los logros en los Estados Unidos.

ACHLA (Alliance of Chicanos, Hispanic and Latino Americans) está organizando el Latino Fest en el Chateau Theatre en el centro de Rochester MN el sábado 15 de septiembre de 12 p. m. a 10 p. m.

La ACHLA ha atendido el área de Rochester MN desde 2004. Esta organización sin fines de lucro de larga data está dirigida y apoyada por voluntarios. Los miembros y defensores de ACHLA han trabajado para crear un puente entre la población local latina e hispana y el gobierno/proveedores de servicio. Además, ACHLA empodera a los chicanos, hispanos y latinoamericanos para que participen en el enriquecimiento de la calidad de vida de todas las personas en el área de Rochester.

La ACHLA ha logrado este trabajo a través del establecimiento o promoción de oportunidades educativas, compromiso cívico, asociaciones comunitarias, intercambio cultural, así como cualquier esfuerzo para desarrollar capacidades dentro de las comunidades chicana, hispana y latinoamericana.

Fiesta Latina

ACHLA está organizando el Latino Fest, un evento por primera vez, en el Teatro Chateau el sábado 5 de septiembre, de 12:00 p. m. a 10:00 p. m. Este evento súper emocionante exhibirá arte vibrante, excelente comida, bailes intrincados y culturas únicas.

Esto es solo una muestra de lo que puede esperar en el Latino Fest:

  • Cultura: este evento no se trata solo de celebración; se trata de unidad y de fomentar un sentido de comunidad. Latino Fest reúne diversas culturas bajo un mismo techo, promoviendo el entendimiento, la amistad y la armonía.
  • Bailables/Danza folclórica: salsa, merengue, bachata y más
  • Actividades familiares: mucho que ver y hacer con niños de todas las edades
  • Vendedores e individuos de Rochester tendrán stands donde estarán representadas diferentes partes de América Latina. ¡Desde tentadoras gorditas hasta deliciosas mangonadas, tus papilas gustativas estarán de enhorabuena!

 

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 – October 15 in the United States. This special month recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

ACHLA (Alliance of Chicanos, Hispanic and Latino Americans) is hosting Latino Fest at the Chateau Theatre in downtown Rochester MN on Saturday, September 16th from 12 PM – 10 PM.

The ACHLA has served the Rochester MN area since 2004. This long-standing nonprofit organization is run and supported by volunteers.  ACHLA members and advocates have worked to create a bridge between the local Latino and Hispanic population and government/service providers.  Additionally, ACHLA empowers Chicanos, Hispanics, and Latino Americans to participate in enriching the quality of life for all people in the Rochester area. 

The ACHLA has achieved this work through the establishment or promotion of educational opportunities, civic engagement, community partnerships, and cultural exchange, as well as any efforts to build capacity within the Chicano, Hispanic, and Latino American communities.

Latino Fest

ACHLA is hosting Latino Fest, a first-time event, at the Chateau Theatre on Saturday, September 16th, from 12 PM – 10 PM.  This super exciting event will showcase vibrant art, great food, intricate dance, and unique cultures. 

Here’s just a taste of what you can expect at Latino Fest:

  • Culture — This event is not just about celebration; it’s about unity and fostering a sense of community. Latino Fest brings together diverse cultures under one roof, promoting understanding, friendship, and harmony.
  • Bailables/Dance folkloric — salsa, merengue, bachata, and more
  • Family Activities — so much to see and do with kids of all ages
  • Vendors and individuals from Rochester will have booths where different parts of Latin America will be represented. From tantalizing gorditas to mouthwatering mangonadas, your taste buds are in for an absolute treat!
