Don’t Miss SparkOlympics! Now through August 8th

With the world watching the games in Tokyo, Spark Children’s Museum has organized fun SparkOlympic events for children and their families to enjoy July 23rd – August 8th with scheduled activities throughout the days, 9 AM – 5 PM.  All activities are included with the price of admission.

Museum attendees will learn about all aspects of the Olympic games through different activities such as hands-on learning, story-times, and physical challenges.

Children can also participate in a museum-wide scavenger hunt by looking for different items around the museum. While searching, they will interact with staff members and volunteers who will teach them about different cultures and countries participating in the Olympics.

SparkOlympic events include:

  • Storytimes focused on Olympic heroes and life in Tokyo
  • Hands-on crafts with Olympic themed projects
  • Museum scavenger hunt based on Olympic sporting events
  • Cultural exploration aimed to teach children about other countries
  • Physical challenges and obstacles for children to participate in

Not only is the SparkOlympics a fun activity for kids and families, but it also embodies the mission of Spark: to offer intergenerational and engaging programs for families in Southeastern Minnesota through immersive experiences aimed at opening the minds of young learners. All proceeds from the event will go towards programming in the region that supports the work of Spark.
