Brand New Exhibit Coming to Spark!

velocity

Last summer, Spark opened its doors at its new location at the Apache Mall.  At that time there were several things to enjoy such as WaterWorks, World Bazaar, the climbing structure, and more.

Today, Spark announced the arrival of a brand new traveling exhibit called Velocity – the first new exhibit since opening their doors last summer!

According to the press release, Velocity, the new traveling exhibit, “helps children explore the science of motion, making it exciting to learn all about physics. Children will be able to roll and race golf balls on tracks, loops, and hills to experiment with friction, gravity, momentum, acceleration, speed, and distance.”

The press release goes on to state that, “Participants of all ages will have the opportunity to learn and engage through this new hands-on exhibit. Velocity will feature five distinct activity areas that mimic skate parks, half-pipes, and mountain climbs demonstrating the trajectory, velocity, and momentum of moving objects.

This new exhibit will open to the public on Wednesday, September 1st!  PLEASE NOTE: The museum will be closed on Tuesday, August 31st for exhibit installation.
